Absolute Write Situation Featured on Boing Boing!

Do read and link to the Boing Boing: Anti-publishing-scam site shut down by "agent" - needs help! article posted today. Don't forget to use the Absolute Write, Jenna Glatzer and SFWATop20WorstAgents tags either.

Meanwhile - have you donated yet??

Okay, here's my question. If the ISP is saying a longer dispute has been in place regarding the bandwidth usage . . . then why would the plug be pulled with no notice? If a longer dispute was really in place, there would have been several messages stating the account would be pulled if the situation wasn't resolved. I think it's a bunch of excuses because they're getting tons of bad press, too.

Thanks for your comment over at my blog.

I'm glad I can help you guys at least a little. I've put a link to the Boing Boing article on my blog, too.

Hi Dawno

I've been following the AW plight with interest. I admire the entire AW community for rallying around their cause. I wish had money to spare but since I can't donate I'll just offer my support.

Have you been to the Writers Weekly forum? You might find the discussion surrounding AW interesting.

Regards,

Tracy

art_addiction, JCHosting has a lot to learn about operating a business. That's all I can say without starting to foam at the mouth. I happen to agree with your assessment of the situation.

sonyca, it was nice having you visit here, too! Thank you for your support.

Tracy, Thank you for your support - it's very important. As for Writers Weekly I found the discussion sad and petty. All it did was highlight for me why I choose to frequent and support Absolute Write rather than WW, which I did join a year or so ago, but didn't see the value in becoming an active participant after finding AW.
