Sean (a writer and fellow member of Absolute Write forums) commented on my last post that I should write about the problem I'm having with my blog muse. In general it's probably pretty simple - I'm tired at the end of a day and would rather not think too hard - it's easier to surf the web, watch Season 1 of Babylon 5 (yeah, I decided to download it from iTunes) and post the occasional kitten picture on Absolute Write.
It takes mental energy to write anything, even a simple blog post, if you consider that there are readers. I have always thought of these posts as my side of a conversation. I try to put something out for you that you might enjoy reading, because it's something that interests me.
I can only hope that my mental energy returns and I can continue to find something fun, or meaningful, or informative to share.
eta: Thanks, Frank for catching the typo - more evidence that my brain isn't fully turned on at all these days.

You're most certainly welcome, Dawno. I hope the topic helps you to regain your muse. Writer's Block is, at least for me, never easy to handle. Sometimes just sitting down and writing something, anything at all, can do the trick for me.
I hope you have a wonderful Friday, and I'll see you around the boards.
:)
I hear ya Dawno. Few things prompt a reaction of Stark Horror more than a blank sheet of paper (or white monitor).
Well, maybe realizing you forgot your fishing vest at home. Or your pants.
I can totally relate to that fear that whatever you write about, someone else has already said it better. Best cure for that is to stop reading other witty people and pretend that yours is the only blog in the universe! (Works for me!)
Hmm, possible topics... weird dreams/nightmares, Recently Cleared Up Misunderstanding From Childhood (those stupid things you learned and just never really thought about again), Generation Gap stuff (and yeah, i know they don't call it that anymore, which is itself one of those Generation Gap things...)
Ah heck, anything you want, because you always make it interesting!
Write the meaningful material at the beginning of the day. That's helped for me...
That and breaking free of some of the extracurricular activities that take so much time.
Well, maybe realizing you forgot your fishing vest at home. Or your pants.
Or both...
